Job summary

EQT Group in New York or Chicago is seeking an experienced Vice President, Communications to lead strategies for major firm announcements, including M&A and fundraises, while contributing to EQT’s broader profile-raising efforts.

You will work closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs in the Americas and collaborate with colleagues across Europe and Asia, shaping and owning communications. The role is permanent and full-time, with global impact.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in corporate communications, in-house or agency, with private capital or financial services exposure.
• Proactive media relations with direct journalist outreach in financial/business media.
• Excellent written communication to translate complex topics into clear narratives.
• Demonstrated project management across multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Experience developing comms strategies for major corporate announcements (transactions, raises).
• Familiarity with working cross-functionally in a matrixed/global organisation.
• Comfort operating from strategy to execution and producing final materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead proactive and reactive media relations, including story mining, pitching, and journalist relationships.
• Develop and execute communications strategies for M&A transactions, fundraises, and other major announcements.
• Prepare high‑quality communications materials including plans, press releases, key messages, and Q&A documents.
• Partner cross-functionally with investment, fundraising, legal, business development, and shareholder relations teams.
• Contribute to the Americas profile‑raising strategy and build EQT’s brand in key markets.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies on strategic communications, serving as a bridge to portfolio teams.
• Work autonomously on complex, concurrent workstreams while maintaining quality and deadlines.
