Job summary

Genentech seeks a Vice President and Global Head of AI for Drug Discovery (AIDD) to lead a premier AI/ML organization across Roche/Genentech RED. You will define and execute an AI-driven drug discovery strategy, partner with gRED and pRED, and build an elite team of scientists, engineers, and computational researchers.

Location includes New York, San Francisco, Basel. You will manage budgets, set roadmaps, and advance state-of-the-art AI methods for antibodies, proteins and small molecules,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field and expertise in AI and ML methods.
• Experience leading foundation model or large-scale engineering efforts.
• Ability to lead global, cross-functional teams and budget ownership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an AI-driven drug discovery strategy.
• Lead Lab-in-the-Loop initiatives with partners across REDs.
• Embed AI into discovery programs across gRED and pRED.
• Build and mentor a global AIDD organization.
• Drive partnerships with internal and external AI communities.
