Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking an Upstream Global Product Manager for Core Biliary to drive the global portfolio strategy and pipeline. You will lead cross-functional teams across R&D, marketing, and sales, translating customer needs into market requirements and financial models.

You will spend time in the hospital setting, gather KOL feedback, and develop a hybrid portfolio approach that blends internal and external development to meet global clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of professional experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%, including internationally.
• Global upstream experience (product management, sales engagement and campaigns).
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify unmet customer needs and translate into a holistic portfolio strategy.
• Translate needs into documented user requirements to guide R&D and cross-functional teams.
• Lead upstream marketing for multiple global/regional projects and create market specs and financial models.
• Develop and manage the portfolio strategy and product pipeline; propose growth opportunities.
• Gather insights from KOLs, customers, market research, and stakeholders to inform opportunities.
• Demonstrate market trends and conditions through research, literature, metrics, and customer interactions.
• Maintain deep clinical knowledge of Pancreaticobiliary procedures.
• Monitor adjacent markets/technologies and stay connected with global partners.
• Spend time in the field to gain market/clinical insights and build physician relationships.
• Develop a hybrid portfolio approach leveraging internal and external development.
