Job summary

LMU seeks an International Admission Counselor to join the International Admission team and support recruitment, admission, and enrollment of prospective international undergraduates. You will provide timely, culturally responsive counseling and day-to-day communication with students, families, and counselors.

The role includes managing recruitment territories, traveling 8–12 weeks annually, and collaborating with Undergraduate Admission to advance LMU's enrollment goals.

Qualifications

• Typically a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in admission or student recruitment.
• Ability to travel internationally 8–12 weeks annually and periodically domestically.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse students and families.
• Strong written, oral, presentation, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide admission counseling to international students and families on programs, requirements, scholarships, and enrollment steps.
• Represent LMU at schools, universities, fairs, and counselor programs.
• Manage international recruitment territories and outreach activities, including virtual engagement.
• Collaborate with the International and Undergraduate Admission teams to support enrollment goals.
• Review applications and international records for holistic admission decisions.
• Maintain recruitment records in approved systems and support inbox management.
• Contribute ideas for audience-specific outreach and content.
• Engage with partners to support international transfer admissions when applicable.
• Stay current on international education systems and LMU policies.
