Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks the Head of Global Trial Optimization (GTO) to provide vision, leadership, and mentorship for senior GTO staff. You will drive process improvements, strategic planning and end-to-end trial optimization, ensuring high-quality, compliant deliverables.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 15 years clinical research experience in pharmaceutical industry (US and exUS)
• Strong communication in English (written and spoken) and ability to influence at senior levels
• Knowledge and application of GCP/ICH and applicable regulatory guidelines
• Digital proficiency in enterprise-level digital, analytics, automation-enabled and AI-enabled capabilities
• Experience in risk-based decision-making and leadership across portfolio
• Experience in strategic planning, execution excellence and governance
• Ability to lead and manage teams, partnerships and resource allocation
• Familiarity with trial feasibility, recruitment strategies and site partnerships
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and end-to-end trial optimization

Responsabilidades

• Provide vision and leadership for the GTO group and ensure high-quality deliverables
• Drive data-driven feasibility and recruitment/retention strategies
• Coach and manage GTO leadership team and ensure risk mitigation across programs
• Oversee enterprise-level vendors and digital presence for trial execution
• Align with global stakeholders to anticipate study needs and coordinate resources
• Establish performance metrics and monitor improvements in quality and predictability
• Lead strategic initiatives and potential mergers/acquisitions in scope
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and company governance standards
