Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Global Travel Specialist to help shape and manage a world-class travel program. You will partner with Finance, HR, Security, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, and Internal Travel teams to strengthen controls and optimize the traveler experience across a global program.

You will analyze data, monitor SLAs/KPIs, and support executive travel services while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive cost efficiency and policy adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, hospitality, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of corporate travel management experience, including direct work with a Travel Management Company or travel agency and travel commodity sourcing.
  • Experience supporting hotel, car rental, and/or rail programs, including secondary support for RFPs, rate loading, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
  • Working knowledge of online booking tools, Global Distribution System (GDS) platforms, mobile booking applications, and Concur Expense integration.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-touch service to executive-level travelers with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening skills with the ability to influence outcomes and collaborate in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage the day-to-day relationship with the company's dedicated Travel Management Company, ensuring exceptional traveler service, operational excellence, and policy compliance.
  • Analyze travel data, traveler feedback, and operational performance metrics to identify trends, improve traveler experience, and drive program enhancements.
  • Monitor supplier and agency performance through SLAs and KPIs, identifying service gaps, driving corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Security, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, and Internal Travel teams to resolve issues and strengthen travel program controls.
  • Support global travel commodities, including hotel, car rental, rail, and air programs, helping optimize supplier performance, negotiated rates, and traveler purchasing behaviors.
  • Serve as a key resource for travel technology, including online booking tools, mobile applications, profile integrations, expense systems, and travel program automation.
  • Provide support for executive travel services, helping deliver a high-touch experience for senior leaders and executive travelers
  • Manage reporting, reconciliations, financial audits, and travel program analytics to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and informed business decision-making.
  • Support business continuity and traveler risk management efforts, coordinating responses to travel disruptions, security events, and emergency situations.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and remediation efforts for recurring travel service issues, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the global travel program.
  • Support global travel program initiatives including acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, and new technology implementations in partnership with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Evaluate, test, and enhance travel technologies and digital solutions to improve the traveler experience, increase automation, and drive operational efficiency.

Job description

Join our Global Travel, Corporate Solutions & Meeting Governance team as a Global Travel Specialist and help shape a world-class travel program through supplier management, travel technology, data analytics, executive travel services, and global operational excellence.

You will help to strengthen the way our enterprise manages agency operations, travel commodities, booking technology, and executive travel services. In this high-visibility role, you will support the day-to-day Travel Management Company (TMC) relationship, turn travel data into action, and improve cost management, policy compliance, and the traveler experience across a complex global program. You will partner with Finance, HR, Employee Relations, Risk Management, Security, Ethics, Supply Chain, Legal, and Compliance to resolve issues, strengthen controls, and advance smarter ways of working.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting global travel programs and international market operations, including EMEA and APAC for a large global organization.
  • Experience with complex corporate travel operations, including policy governance, agency and supplier performance, financial stewardship, duty of care, risk mitigation, compliance, process improvement, data-driven decision-making, and travel technology transformation.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 80,500 - 134,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
