Job summary

Brooks Kushman P.C. seeks an experienced Trademark Attorney with 5+ years of experience managing domestic and international trademark portfolios for leading brands.

This role involves working closely with in-house counsel and business stakeholders on all aspects of trademark protection, including clearance, strategy, and enforcement. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with clearance investigations, pre-litigation disputes, online enforcement, and coordinating global enforcement

Qualifications

• Must have outstanding written, analytical, and client counseling skills.
• Minimum 8 years of trademark experience, including U.S. and international portfolios.
• Strong understanding of trademark law, USPTO practice, and international systems, including the Madrid Protocol.

Responsibilities

• Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios for diverse clients.
• Conduct clearance searches and provide risk assessments and strategic counseling.
• Prepare, file, and prosecute trademark applications before the USPTO.
• Advise on portfolio strategy, maintenance, renewals, and international filing programs.
• Handle enforcement matters including cease-and-desist letters and online takedowns.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel on prosecution, enforcement, and portfolio management.
• Provide business-focused advice on trademark, copyright, advertising, and brand protection.
• Collaborate with colleagues across prosecution, litigation, and transactional practices.
