Job Summary

The Global Trade Control Associate Specialist will manage and oversee global trade compliance, supporting the company's operations by ensuring adherence to export and import control requirements. The role supports various business functions, managing trade compliance programs, overseeing export/import processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and optimize efficiency, including defining global trade requirements, developing compliance training, and managing permits and licenses.

This position requires analytical and leadership skills, self-motivation, and a positive attitude, thriving in a dynamic work environment.

Essential Functions

  1. Manage global trade compliance requirements and improve efficiencies in the supply chain.
  2. Classify imports and exports under regulatory regimes (HTSUS, EAR, ITAR, Schedule B).
  3. Work with the Global Logistics team to create and enforce trade control policies aligned with global standards.
  4. Support import/export activities across enterprise supply-chain functions.
  5. Lead logistics and trade control initiatives collaboratively.
  6. Develop and manage trade compliance programs compliant with US and international regulations.
  7. Obtain and manage licenses, permits, and registrations under trade laws.
  8. Implement trade control processes and develop project-specific Technology Control Plans.
  9. Conduct global trade compliance training.
  10. Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates.
  11. Manage restricted party screening processes.
  12. Serve as a primary contact for trade issues.
  13. Assess current policies, mitigate risks, and drive process improvements.
  14. Maintain trade compliance databases and systems.

The above is not exhaustive; management may assign additional duties as needed.

Minimum Education, Experience, Skills

Required:

  • 3+ years of U.S. export control experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of U.S. export regulations (EAR, ITAR).

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of U.S. import regulations and non-U.S. regulations.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
  • Experience with government agencies or freight forwarding.
  • Leadership, problem-solving, research, communication, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with trade management systems.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy licensing requirements.

Estimated annual base salary ranges from $76,500 to $92,700, depending on experience and location. Additional incentives may apply.
