Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a National Security and Global Trade Associate for a Phoenix, AZ law firm. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of experience in sanctions, export controls, CFIUS, and related national security matters in transactions.

The role requires a JD from an accredited law school, admission to the relevant jurisdiction, and strong drafting, research, and communication skills to work across cross-border matters with multinational clients.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in international trade, sanctions, export controls, or national security.
• Experience with transactions involving trade or national security considerations.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on U.S. economic sanctions, including compliance counseling and risk assessments.
• Counsel on export controls under EAR and ITAR regulations.
• Support CFIUS and national security reviews, including transaction structuring and filing preparation.
• Conduct diligence on sanctions, export control, and national security in strategic transactions.
• Draft and review compliance policies and contractual provisions related to trade risks.
• Assist with internal investigations and responses to government inquiries.
• Collaborate with colleagues on multidisciplinary matters.
