Job summary

RTX’s Naval Power business seeks a Principal Specialist, Global Trade to own export/import licensing and compliance activities. You will develop strategies, prepare license applications, and work with internal teams to enable timely, compliant transfers of dual-use technology and defense articles.

The role requires direct ITAR/EAR export licensing experience, ability to interpret regulations for cross-functional teams, and occasional travel. U.S.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience researching and applying ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Experience managing ITAR/EAR export authorizations.
• Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop export authorization strategies for international marketing, sales, support, offshore procurement, and manufacturing of defense and dual-use articles.
• Prepare and submit quality export/import license applications, agreements, eligible exemptions/exceptions and other requests for USG approval.
• Provide export/import authorization status updates to leadership and capture/program teams.
• Interpret ITAR and EAR regulations for Naval Power employees.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to determine and certify appropriate legal authority for exports of dual-use items.
