Job summary

Medtronic seeks a senior export trade attorney to lead the global trade legal and compliance program. You will advise on export controls, OFAC sanctions, and licensing strategies while coordinating with enterprise and regional teams.

The role requires a JD, bar admission, and 8+ years in global trade, preferably in healthcare or medical devices, with sponsorship for senior roles as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from a recognized law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one state.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in global trade law/compliance; 10+ preferred.
• U.S. work authorization; sponsorship available for Principal+ per policy
• Healthcare/medical device industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead export and sanctions attorney within Global Trade Legal and Compliance team.
• Provide global trade legal and compliance advice to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
• Support Global Trade Operations, regional and business unit lawyers, and other Medtronic functions.
• Advise on Export Administration Regulations, OFAC sanctions and trade controls, and related licensing.
