Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Global Ops Trade and Compliance Manager to lead international logistics, customs compliance, and supply chain operations across multiple regions. This role focuses on optimizing costs, managing global networks, and driving strategic initiatives while ensuring regulatory alignment with USMCA, EU rules, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 10+ years in supply chain management with international scope.
• Experience with customs clearance and import/export compliance across multiple countries.
• Strong analytical and project management skills with ability to drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent vendor management and stakeholder communication capabilities.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Optimize shipping methods and routes based on cost, speed, and service requirements; maintain and update global delivery matrices.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for multiple distribution hubs; oversee inventory movement and fulfillment operations.
• Monitor fulfillment costs by geography and implement cost optimization strategies; track KPIs like on-time delivery and shipment accuracy.
• Handle exceptional shipments (hazmat, oversized, time-sensitive) ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead customs clearance processes and prepare commercial invoices, packing lists, and origin certificates.
• Manage relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders; ensure timely filing of documentation.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with country-specific import/export regulations and trade agreements.
• Support new market entry by researching regulatory requirements and coordinating with brokers and legal teams.
• Stay current on international trade regulations and alert leadership to impacts on operations.
• Lead initiatives to expand operations into new markets and develop long-term supply chain roadmaps.
