Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles invites applicants for a 2027 Trade Compliance Intern position. You’ll research and apply international trade regulations across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and the European Union to support customs compliance.

You’ll help develop and maintain trade compliance procedures, shadow seasoned specialists, and collaborate with teams to collect data and certificates. This paid, 10-week summer internship includes mentorship and real project work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in business, economics, logistics, finance, engineering, supply chain management or related fields.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) export/import compliance, drafting or blueprint reading).

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply international trade regulations, policies, and procedures related to the movement of goods out of, into, or between the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and the European Union to ensure Customs compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and streamline trade compliance procedures, policies, and practices.
• Shadow trade compliance personnel to learn the requirements for international shipping and to support daily import and export transactions.
• Collaborate with all levels of Textron Specialized Vehicles personnel, businesses, departments, and suppliers to obtain required trade related data.
• Assist with the collection and maintenance of Free Trade Agreement certifications and perform Free Trade Agreement qualifications.
• Support import/export or other trade related audit activities.
