Job summary
KLA, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, seeks a Trade Compliance Engineer to ensure products and technologies meet export controls, customs, sanctions, and global import/export requirements. You will serve as the primary technical liaison between engineering, product management, supply chain, legal, and global trade compliance teams to support classifications across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications
- Experience: Bachelors +12y, Masters +8y, or PhD +5y.
- Strong knowledge of export control and customs regulations.
- Experience with global trade management systems (GTM, SAP GTS, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Perform technical reviews of products to determine ECCN and HTS classifications.
- Analyze BOMs, specs, and product docs for classification purposes.
- Partner with engineering to understand functionality, encryption features, and end-use applications.
- Develop and improve processes for product classifications.
- Support trade compliance with technology initiatives and system integrations.
- Automate classification management, compliance controls, and reporting.
- Provide classification guidance and training to enterprise teams.
- Other tasks as required.
