Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a senior, hands-on Director to lead the international trade compliance program for the Instrumentation Segment, spanning Test & Measurement, Environmental Instruments, and Marine groups. This role guides manufacturing, R&D, and sales across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The Director partners with senior management, interacts with government agencies, oversees licensing, classification, audits, and training, and drives governance and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, law, international trade, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible trade compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export and customs regulations; familiarity with non-U.S. regimes.
• Leadership experience mentoring compliance staff.
• Strong judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; US Person eligible for export control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee trade compliance across Instrumentation Segment per laws and Teledyne policies.
• Develop and manage CBUs and regional administrators for trade compliance.
• Establish accountability for export controls, classifications, licensing, and data reviews.
• Provide guidance on customs classification, valuation, and trade agreements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and mitigate emerging compliance risks.
• Close internal audit findings and drive corrective actions.
• Deliver training and maintain compliance policies and systems.
