Job summary

Imperative Logistics is seeking a Classification Specialist in Texas to support export operations, maintain product classifications, and ensure compliance for domestic and international shipments. The role requires reviewing tariff schedules and coordinating with offices across borders.

Bilingual English/Spanish is valued, with a 2-year Import/Export certificate preferred. The position involves working in an on-site office, collaborating with teams, and providing customer support for customs

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Two-year vocational/technical certificate in Import/Export or related field.
• Five years’ work experience in a classification position or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to carry out Export Operations and assist with classification duties.
• Maintain part number database classifications for all company customers.
• Audit classification protocols for branch and international offices.
• Classify new products being imported into Mexico.
• Provide customer support for compliance with customs restrictions.
