Job summary

IFF is a global leader in food ingredients, flavors, fragrances, and health & biosciences. The role located in New Century, KS offers hybrid work (3x per week) supporting US/Canada customs operations and trade compliance initiatives.

You will coordinate import clearance, review entries, and assist with duty drawback, inspections, and export controls while collaborating with SAP GTS users and internal stakeholders. 1–3 years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in trade compliance or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Finance, or Economics.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting customs compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Support customs operations for US and Canada.
• Coordinate import clearance activities and broker inquiries.

• Review customs entries and assist with post-entry activities.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Support customs operations for the United States and Canada.


• Coordinate import clearance activities and customs broker inquiries.


• Familiarity with customs regulations, country of origin, free trade agreements, and customs documentation requirements.


• Review customs entries and support post-entry activities.


• Assist with duty drawback and duty recovery programs.


• Monitor customs holds, examinations, and government agency requests.


• Support trade compliance, sanctions screening, and export control processes.


• Support SAP, SAP GTS and related trade compliance systems; prepare compliance reporting including ACE and CARM reporting.


• Support audits, procedures, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Assist with Free Trade Agreement qualification support and record retention requirements.


• Coordinate collection and maintenance of trade compliance documentation from internal and external stakeholders.


• Support trade controls operations, including denied party screening, sanctions screening, and export control process execution, as part of the role's scope from the beginning, with training and guidance provided by regional or global trade compliance leadership.


• Support global trade controls activities beyond North America where needed, including process execution, documentation, follow-up, and coordination with internal stakeholders.


• Maintain audit-ready files and compliance records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• 1-3 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, logistics, supply chain, import/export operations, or a related field.


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Experience supporting customs compliance activities.


• Ability to maintain accurate compliance records.

How You’ll Stand Out

• Experience with SAP GTS, SAP ERP, ACE, CARM, or similar systems.


• Familiarity with Free Trade Agreements, export controls, and sanctions screening.


• Experience working with customs brokers and global stakeholders.


• Prior experience with export controls, sanctions screening, or denied party screening is preferred but not required; training and guidance will be provided as part of role development.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000 base salary, depending on candidate experience and relevancy to the position and other factors determined by the hiring team in their decision.

Additional Information

For your awareness, IFF has announced its intention to sell its Food Ingredients Business to CVC Capital Partners. The sale is currently expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
