Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, and food ingredients, seeks an Inventory Specialist to optimize production reporting and SAP data integrity. The role collaborates with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality to improve processes and ensure accurate inventory accounting.

The position requires hands-on experience with inventory management and strong analytical skills, enabling timely resolution of variances and alignment with month-end close activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years in business processes, inventory management, or related functions.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP, including inventory transactions and production reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own daily inventory reconciliation processes to ensure accurate production reporting and SAP transaction integrity.
• Execute and analyze inventory, production, and materials management reports to identify discrepancies and drive timely resolution.
• Perform production confirmations, transaction corrections, backflush activities, and inventory adjustments within SAP.
• Support inventory control through reconciliation of raw materials and production volumes while investigating variances.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Accounting teams to improve data integrity and business process effectiveness.
• Lead and support management system activities, including self-assessments, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support month-end close activities through reconciliations and journal entry support.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Own daily inventory reconciliation processes to ensure accurate production reporting, inventory balances, and SAP transaction integrity.
• Execute and analyze inventory, production, and materials management reports to identify discrepancies and drive timely resolution.
• Perform production confirmations, transaction corrections, backflush activities, and inventory adjustments within SAP to maintain system accuracy.
• Support inventory control through reconciliation of raw materials, chemical inventories, and production volumes while investigating and resolving variances.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Accounting teams to improve data integrity and business process effectiveness.
• Lead and support management system activities, including self-assessments, investigations, corrective actions, compliance tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support month-end close activities through reconciliations, reporting, journal entry support, accrual validation, and financial transaction accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, eliminate non-value-added activities, and improve operational efficiency across the site.
• Promote compliance with company policies, internal controls, EHSS requirements, and cGMP standards while ensuring sustainable process execution.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Human Resources, Organizational Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business processes, inventory management, manufacturing operations, accounting, supply chain, or related functions.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP, including inventory transactions, production reporting, and materials management processes.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Experience building effective relationships across multiple functions and influencing stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of ownership and accountability.
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying process inefficiencies and implementing sustainable solutions.

How You Would Stand Out

• Experience in food, ingredients, pharmaceutical, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments operating under cGMP standards.
• Proven success leading inventory management initiatives, business process improvement projects, or cross-functional operational excellence efforts.
• Experience supporting investigations, management of change activities, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), audits, or compliance programs.
