Job summary

AMD is seeking a hands-on TMS Solution Architect to lead design and rollout of a global Transportation Management System. You’ll bridge Global Logistics and IT, owning end-to-end architecture, integration, and organizational change across a multi-plant, multi-carrier network.

Ideal candidates will have SAP S/4HANA, EDI, and control-tower experience, with a track record of delivering measurable cost and speed improvements in logistics at a global scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
• Experience implementing TMS in a dynamic, global multinational with many plants and a large carrier base.
• Strong transportation and logistics business-process expertise including freight management and carrier management.

Responsibilities

• Business process definition with GL and IT to standardize transportation processes across regions, plants, and modes.
• End-to-end TMS solution design including order-to-delivery flows and carrier rate shopping.
• Lead blueprint/fit-gap, configuration oversight, and integration design for rollout.
• Design and govern integrations between TMS, SAP S/4HANA, EDI, and external partners.
• Drive carrier onboarding and enablement across multiple modes for a global carrier base.
• Lead change management, training, and communications for business adoption.
• Partner with software vendors and SI teams; enforce architecture standards and governance.
• Contribute to roadmap with EDI stabilization, RFID, and AI-driven initiatives.
