Sam Salem & Son, a New York-based home textiles designer and producer since 1944, is seeking a Product Development Manager for our NYC Fifth Avenue offices. You will shepherd products from concept through production, manage costing, factories, samples, and approvals, and craft high-end concepts aligned with client pricing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing home textiles at an importer, a brand, or a retailer.
• Strong sense of cost and pricing.
• Experience with factories, sampling, and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Creative, organized, and able to run your own projects.

Responsabilités

• Develop product from concept to production: costing, factories, samples, approvals.
• Create high-end product and packaging concepts that fit customer price points.
• Manage pre-production and production samples and keep development on schedule.
• Present new products in line reviews and buyer meetings.
• Travel to showrooms and factories around the world.
