Job summary

dbt Labs is seeking a Global Technology Partner Manager to own and grow its strategic partnership with Databricks. You will accelerate partner development, establish programs, and drive joint go-to-market momentum that referrals, new business, and better customer experiences rely on.

You’ll collaborate with sales, solution architecture, marketing, and product teams across the US to align on strategy, enable field reps, and scale joint opportunities while delivering tangible results for customers

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in strategic alliances, enterprise sales, or partner management within the data, cloud, or enterprise software industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, global relationships.
• Deep understanding of the modern data stack and the business value of open data infrastructure — dbt, the company, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to engage credibly at C‑suite and partner level within a global technology organization.
• Strong commercial instincts — able to identify, thoroughly qualify and develop joint pipeline opportunities, not just manage existing relationships.
• Track record of operating as a cross-functional orchestrator — influencing without direct authority across sales, engineering, marketing, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire global relationship with Databricks and become the main point of contact for this partner.

• Introduce and establish yourself as a trusted resource for all field sales and pre-sales reps in the US in the first 90 days across this partner in addition to key product and marketing and product stakeholders.
• Connect the dots between the company Partner Sales Managers and our partner sales teams to ensure the sales team is solution selling with our partners and delivering a delightful customer experience.
• Work closely with Marketing and Product teams to establish and execute our strategic partner go to market efforts focusing both on repeatable and unique programs.
• Focus on growing mutual customer adoption, pipeline development and revenue growth across both the company and Databricks.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Global Technology Partner Manager to own and grow our strategic partnership with Databricks. This role helps to accelerate the partner development process, establishing programs and joint go to market efforts which generate referrals, alongside new business opportunities and an improved customer buying experience. The Alliances team is instrumental to the growth at the company and how we as a company go to market and this role is critical to this in achieving alignment with our most strategic partners.

This position qualifies for the company’s incentive plan, and it’s common for employees in this role to achieve the total on-target earnings.
