The Blue & Green Islands Integrated Programme (BGI IP) is a transformative initiative addressing environmental challenges faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS). These countries are highly vulnerable to climate change impacts and other shocks. The programme leverages innovation from SIDS to turn challenges into opportunities for prosperity, building a greener and bluer future.

Background
The BGI IP aims to enhance collaboration, capacity, and partnerships among 15 child projects, focusing on valuing nature, scaling nature-based solutions in food, tourism, and urban sectors, and securing finance for nature-positive development. The Global Coordination Project (GCP) establishes a GPCU responsible for managing and cohering the programme, including workstreams such as policy facilitation, knowledge management, and nature-based solutions acceleration.
Scope of Work
The Global Programme Technical Specialist (GPTS) supports the GPTL in delivering project components, manages M&E systems, tracks indicators, reports, and evaluates project progress. The role involves managing risks, overseeing workplans, facilitating knowledge sharing, and establishing partnerships with stakeholders.

The incumbent reports to the Global Programme Technical Lead and works within a framework of core and technical competencies, emphasizing results, innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.
