Job summary

Allied Universal in Irvine, CA is seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting and Reporting to oversee global technical accounting, GAAP and IFRS, and the financial reporting process for annual and quarterly statements.

You will support North America and international accounting teams, develop accounting memorandums, implement new FASB/SEC pronouncements, manage the global accounting manual, and contribute to SOX 404 controls and cashflow reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance.
• Minimum of five years of accounting, audit or system administration experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
• Experience designing and implementing new policies and processes; high integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical research and consult with management and the external auditors to ensure proper accounting treatment and documentation for GAAP/IFRS transactions.
• Create and maintain professional accounting memorandums required by audits and quarterly reviews.
• Serve as an internal technical accounting resource for new FASB/SEC pronouncements and disclosures.
• Manage and develop the technical accounting aspect of the global accounting manual and policies.
• Research and document technical accounting inquiries and disclosures for complex transactions.
• Participate in SOX 404 efforts, including execution and documentation of controls.
• Prepare consolidated GAAP cashflow and assist in other cashflow related management reporting.
