Job summary

Coates Group is a global technology company seeking a Senior Project/Program Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects in our Chicago office. You will be the main client-facing contact, setting expectations on scope and timelines while coordinating across engineering, content, Ops/DevOps, and deployment teams.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience with a technical background, strong Agile practices, and proficiency with Jira, Confluence and Asana.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project or program management, with technical or digital project experience.
• Technical background or understanding of software engineering, infrastructure, and software deployment practices.
• Strong experience with Agile methodologies.
• Strong experience with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project tools.

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Ensure end-to-end delivery of technical projects including requirements gathering, milestone planning, technical solutioning, documentation, execution, and final delivery.
• Client-facing Lead: Act as the main point of contact for client-facing technical projects, helping to set expectations around scope and timeline and re-prioritizing as needed.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate across internal teams (Engineering, Content, Ops/DevOps, Deployment etc.) and client teams to coordinate seamless execution.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks early, create mitigation strategies, and resolve project roadblocks with minimal impact.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and challenges.
• Tooling & Reporting: Leverage Jira, Confluence, and Asana project dashboards to provide project visibility and performance tracking.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in project delivery processes to drive continuous improvement and scalability
