Job summary

Commenda is building its media operation and is seeking a writer to shape how the company appears publicly. You will run day-to-day thought leadership, content operations, and social presence, interviewing founders and partners and turning conversations into compelling writing.

You’ll own the content calendar and have room to build new editorial products. You’ll work to a strategy with the Head of Media, with potential to pitch for Commenda Media magazine.

Qualifications

• Published work showing clarity, voice, and range.
• Commitment to craft: deep research, rigorous sourcing, and precise prose.
• Excellent interviewing instincts: curiosity, preparation, follow-up.
• Ability to learn fast and explain clearly on complex topics.
• Organizational skill to manage a publishing calendar and deadlines.
• Genuine interest in international affairs, business, economics, entrepreneurship, and technology.
• SEO experience or a background in journalism/policy/economics writing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview founders, leaders, customers, and partners and turn conversations into essays, posts, and stories.
• Ghostwrite for leadership on LinkedIn and X in authentic voices.
• Build an SEO operation for global entity and tax compliance with AI support.
• Write social copy tailored to each platform.
• Maintain content calendar and publish at scale on schedule.
• Own the 'Doing Business in X' country guides, monthly, digital first then print.
• Propose new formats and ideas for series, explainers, columns.
• Use AI to research, draft, and repurpose while preserving voice and accuracy.
• Measure impact and adjust strategy.
