Job summary

Jobtailor in New York is seeking a senior leader to oversee a tax operations unit within a large banking environment. You will lead a team responsible for U.S. and non-U.S. tax documentation validation, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficient processes.

You will coordinate globally with GBAM Operations Tax & Control, GBAM Tax Change, GBAM Technology, and other policy teams; handle inquiries and escalations; and drive tax initiatives and change programs.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of U.S. Treasury regulations (Chapters 3, 4, and 61)
• Expertise in tax documentation validation rules (CRS, Irish DIRT, W8, W9)
• Ability to perform complex reconciliations and resolve issues
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee a unit within the bank’s internal operations
• Lead a team performing U.S. and non-U.S. tax documentation validation functions
• Coordinate globally with GBAM Operations Tax & Control, GBAM Tax Change, GBAM Technology, Global Tax Policy, and Tax Compliance
• Serve tax-related client inquiries and escalations
• Drive tax initiatives and regulatory implementations with GBAM Tax Change and GBAM Technology
• Develop and implement procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Resolve broad and complex operational issues as an escalation point
• Manage expenses, reporting, forecasting, compensation decisions, talent planning, and senior-level performance management
• Champion inclusion, data management, risk management, and business outcomes
