Job summary

Tekion Corporation is seeking a senior tax leader to define and drive the company’s global tax strategy from its Pleasanton, CA office. You will oversee tax operations across jurisdictions, ensure US GAAP and SEC compliance, and guide executive decision-making on tax implications of strategic initiatives.

You will manage a high-performing global tax team, collaborate across functions, and interact with tax authorities and auditors.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax with international exposure and leadership responsibility.
• CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation required.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, OECD guidelines, and transfer pricing principles.

Responsibilities

• Defines and leads the company’s global tax strategy across jurisdictions.
• Oversees Global Tax Operations including income tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and tax provision (ASC 740).
• Ensures compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements and with local tax authorities.
• Manages team across time zones (e.g., India) to deliver timely compliance and filings.
• Advises executive leadership on tax implications of strategic initiatives and M&A.
• Leads relationships with global tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors.
