Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC represents a premier international law firm seeking a Global Tax Associate in San Francisco. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of sophisticated transactional tax experience and will advise on complex cross-border transactions and global structures.

You will work with corporate and transactional teams on acquisitions, restructurings, fund structures, and expansions, delivering U.S. federal and international tax guidance with strong drafting skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 4-7 years of transactional tax experience.
• Experience at a leading national or international law firm preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal income tax principles.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on sophisticated U.S. federal and international tax matters.
• Structure and implement complex cross-border transactions and global tax planning strategies.
• Advise on the tax aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, business combinations, and restructurings.
• Draft and review tax-related provisions in transaction agreements and other deal documents.
• Coordinate with corporate, M&A, finance, private equity, and other specialists on multidisciplinary transactions.
• Provide practical, commercially focused tax advice to clients and transaction teams.
