Job summary

Tencent is seeking motivated interns to join our new in-house sourcing hub in Palo Alto. You will work with the hiring team to understand roles, perform market research, and build talent pools across platforms.

Ideal candidates are undergraduate or master’s students with recruitment or sourcing exposure, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate in English and Mandarin with international teams.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate or master’s degree student with a strong interest in recruitment preferred.
• Prior recruitment and/or sourcing experience with exposure to Boolean searches is ideal.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to gather and analyze information to identify problems.
• Ability to adapt to cross-regional and cross-cultural work patterns.
• Great teamwork spirit, strong communication skills, and fast-learning ability.
• Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin with international teams preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the hiring team to understand requirements and qualifications to source for open positions.
• Conduct market research to identify candidate sources, engagement methods, and market trends.
• Build talent pools for evergreen roles and maintain candidate pipelines across platforms and groups.
• Engage potential candidates via emails, social media, or calls to gauge interest and inform about opportunities.
• Generate referrals by encouraging candidates and employees to refer qualified candidates.
• Report and analyze sourcing projects for effectiveness and find ways to improve the process.

As part of our strategic expansion, we are excited to announce the development of our own in-house sourcing hub, designed to streamline our recruitment processes and enhance our talent acquisition capabilities. In line with this initiative, we are seeking motivated interns who have a keen interest in the field of recruiting and are eager to deepen their understanding of the intricacies involved in talent identification and acquisition.

• Collaborating with the hiring team to understand their specific requirements and qualifications required to source for open positions
• Conducting market research to understand where potential candidates may be found, best methods to engage with them and market/industry trends
• Building Talent Pools for evergreen positions, keeping and maintaining candidate pipelines across various platforms and groups
• Outreach and engagement with potential candidates through emails, social media, or phone calls to gauge their interest in open positions and to inform them about job opportunities
• Generation of referrals by encouraging both candidates and employees to refer qualified candidates
• Report and analyse existing projects in terms of sourcing strategies’ effectiveness, such as conversion rates and how to improve the sourcing process

Who We Look For

Currently an undergraduate or master’s degree student in across any disciplines with a strong interest and passion in recruitment is preferred

Ideally with prior recruitment and/or sourcing experience with exposure to Boolean searches

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in gathering and analysing information, and ability to identify problems through the information.

Ability to adapt to cross-regional and cross-cultural work patterns.

Great teamwork spirit, strong communication skills, and fast-learning ability.

Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin with international teams preferred but not required.

Location State(s) US-California-Palo Alto

The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $20.77 to $38.08 per hour. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will be eligible for 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, full-time interns are also eligible to enroll in the Company-sponsored medical plan.
