Job summary

10x Genomics, Inc. in Pleasanton is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead a global, strategic TA function focused on rare, highly specialized talent across technology and life sciences.

You will mentor an established TA team, modernize tools and processes with AI and data, and stay closely involved in senior-level searches, including R&D and science roles. The role reports to the VP of People and sits on the People leadership team.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience transforming and scaling TA teams in tech or scientific sectors.
• Ability to use metrics, capacity models, and pipeline analytics.
• Experience operating in ambiguity and driving change.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and act as trusted advisor.
• Track record delivering cross-functional projects on time and with impact.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the global TA strategy, translating business priorities into a workforce and hiring plan.
• Lead and elevate an established TA team, setting a high bar for operations and mentorship.
• Serve as a player-coach, staying close to the work across senior searches in technology, R&D, and science.
• Cultivate networks with senior leaders and hiring managers to build active talent pipelines.
• Modernize TA with new technology, AI, and data-driven approaches.
• Build dashboards, capacity models, and pipeline analytics to forecast hiring needs.
• Partner with the People Team to integrate TA into broader people strategy.
