Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Global Supply Manager for Starlink Aviation to lead the supply chain for Starlink products across airframes and platforms. You will work with strategy, planning, engineering, finance, and legal teams, and with suppliers to drive performance and cost improvements.

The role requires experience in high-mix, medium-volume sourcing, negotiations, and developing procurement strategies with cross-functional partners; travel may be required up to 30% and a competitive compensation

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 6+ years of experience in Engineering, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations or supply chain management, Material cost control, Master production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and consult with them to build procurement strategies aligned to business requirements.
• Advise engineering to make sound design decisions for a high performing supply plan.
• Drive make vs. buy decisions for new products and implement strategy across development to production.
• Manage contracts to ensure supplier performance and on-time delivery; expedite and respond to demand changes as needed.
• Maintain master data in MRP and partner with cross-functional teams for demand signal accuracy and acceptable line of balance.
• Lead supplier scorecards and KPIs, e.g., on-time delivery and costs.
• Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to improve supplier quality and cost efficiency.
• Conduct supplier analysis to identify new sources and ensure continuity of supply based on market trends.
• Manage supplier base with a documented supplier management playbook.
