Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Engineer in Peoria, IL to drive agility, visibility, and cost efficiency across the global value chain.

You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize inventory, and collaborate with transportation and logistics to deliver products with safety and quality. The role requires experience in supply chain planning, project leadership, and MRP systems, with opportunities to impact pricing structures and product flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory / Value Chain Management or Engineering.
• CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma Black Belt project experience.
• Previous experience with Earthmoving products.
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and negotiation skills across facilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex problems.
• Experience with or exposure to MRP systems (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement end-to-end value chain solutions aligned with product strategy.
• Lead and manage deployment of projects under improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate resources and work plans for cross-functional teams from strategy to execution.
• Collaborate with Global Transportation and Logistics to optimize the network.
• Drive lean product and network flow plans across divisions and adjust price lists as needed.
