Danfoss Utica, NY is seeking a Specialist, Global Supply Chain Forecasting to turn data into actionable insights that improve forecast accuracy, reveal demand trends, and support smarter supply chain decisions using forecasting, statistics, ML, and analytics.

You’ll partner with IT and business teams to define data sources, build models and dashboards in Python, SQL, and Power BI, and clearly communicate results to planners and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience developing forecasting, statistical, machine learning, or business analytics solutions that drive operational decision-making.
• Strong data analysis, data modeling, and visualization skills; ability to explain complex findings to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with analytics tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI to generate business insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasting models and analytical methods/tools to improve forecast accuracy and exception management.
• Analyze order book quality, order changes, cancellations, pull-ins/pushouts, and forecast volatility.
• Build demand-risk dashboards, alerts, and scenario views to support SIOP and customer discussions.
• Translate model outputs into practical planning actions with cross-functional teams.
• Support segmentation logic by product family, region, and service impact.
• Collaborate with IT to define data sources, data quality checks, and refresh logic.
• Validate model performance and monitor drift over time.
• Explain complex analytics to planners and leadership clearly.
• Support process improvements to reduce manual reporting and speed decisions.
• Maintain documentation for models, metrics, and user guidance.
