Job summary

3M is seeking a Business Supply Chain Engineer to translate portfolio objectives into ESC requirements and develop end-to-end operational plans in PSMD. You will lead division-wide improvement projects across supply chain and ensure proper teams are in place for priority initiatives.

Key work includes managing product lifecycle, leading NPI design for manufacturability, and optimizing cost, service, and reliability across the PSMD landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Seven (7) years of combined engineering, manufacturing, and/or supply chain experience.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as web handling, coating, converting, mixing, and filling.
• Knowledge and experience in applying Continuous Improvement tools and/or Lean principles.
• Experience using statistics to analyze and improve processes.
• Experience leading capital equipment installation and scale‑up projects.

Responsibilities

• Translate portfolio business objectives into ESC requirements and develop end-to-end operational plans for execution in PSMD.
• Identify, prioritize, and lead division specific improvement projects across the supply chain.
• Ensure appropriate functional teams and owners are in place for priority projects.
• Partner with division to actively manage product lifecycle and portfolio excellence.
• Spearhead NPI work – partner with division cross‑functional teams on design for manufacturability, service, product & process capability, and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure ESC performance delivers against global division specific objectives and needs.
• Ensure long‑range capacity plans, supply chain architecture and network will enable growth with acceptable service and inventory levels.
• Determine what is needed to drive service, quality, cost, cash, reliability across PSMD.
