Job summary

IOM GLOBAL OFFICE WASHINGTON DC is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to manage procurement functions for the Washington office, sub-offices, and the UN New York office, under supervision by the Senior Supply Chain Coordinator.

You will support procurement actions, bids, payments, reporting, and supplier management, contributing to efficient operations and compliance with IOM procedures. English fluency required for this role.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, or a related field
• Three years of relevant professional experience
• High school diploma with five years of relevant experience
• Certification in Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an advantage
• Experience in procurement and logistics with vendors/service providers
• Experience with asset management and IOM/UN procurement rules is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Receive and consolidate procurement requisitions and verify information
• Assist in higher-value purchases and complex procurements
• Prepare tender documents, solicit bids, and analyze bids; coordinate with requesting unit
• Coordinate with Finance for timely payment to suppliers
• Maintain procurement records and prepare periodic reports
• Conduct market surveys to identify potential suppliers
• Monitor contract renewals and manage office supplies
• Provide staff with guidance on procurement procedures
• Perform supply chain tasks related to property, warehousing, and transport
• Coordinate fleet operations and vehicle maintenance
• Train junior SCM staff and support their development
• Perform other duties as assigned
