Job summary

Emerson in Minnesota is seeking an engineering intern/co-op to support material quality and collaborate with design engineers and suppliers. You will gain hands-on experience across inspection plans, verification methods, and quality control procedures while building relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

This paid internship offers mentorship, housing support, and a structured program designed to develop skills and accelerate your growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s in Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person.

Responsibilities

• Ensure material quality by managing incoming inspections and providing expert guidance to both local and global manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with design engineers and suppliers to ensure technical specifications are clearly communicated and consistently met.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, material verification methods, and quality control procedures.
• Drive process improvements by supporting enhancements to the material review and production part approval processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, commodity teams, operations, and engineering teams to foster alignment and continuous improvement.
