Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, Supplier Quality Management to own and improve global SCN and ASL processes.

The role requires 6+ years in a regulated industry, strong communication skills, and an ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of GMP and GDP global regulations, principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Experience in supplier quality, compliance, or a combination of manufacturing, quality, and regulatory.
• Knowledge in international regulatory landscape preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and influence stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and management skills for complex projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to present data to management and inspectors and defend approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality-related reviews and cross-functional process teams, acting as SME for Supplier Change Notifications.
• Lead quality management for BioMarin’s Approved Supplier List.
• Monitor SCNs via KPIs, trend analysis, and regular reviews, driving improvement opportunities.
• Serve as Business Process Owner for SCN and ASL processes, maintaining health and continuous improvement.
• Review and approve Supplier Change Notifications in the QMS.
• Make decisions and act with authority to carry out actions as needed.
• Collaborate with global and site stakeholders to improve SCN workflows and align with goals.
• Develop and implement quality policies and procedures across the network.
• Support program enhancements to SCN and ASL processes.
• Provide SME support to site and global inspections and observations.
