Job summary

Teradyne Robotics, a division of Teradyne, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to protect production stability and product quality across plastics, PCBs, machined parts, electronics, and other robotics components at the Wixom site.

You will interface between global suppliers and internal teams, leading root cause analysis, supplier audits, and corrective actions while coordinating with cross-functional partners across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering or Quality).
• 5+ years in supplier/production quality or component qualification.
• Strong knowledge of plastics, PCBs, machined parts, electronics.
• Experience with supplier audits and corrective actions.
• ISO 9001 and TÜV awareness or audit experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for audits.
• Strong data analysis and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own quality performance for assigned suppliers and commodities.
• Track DPPM, NCRs, audit findings, and corrective action status.
• Identify trends, risks, and repeat issues; drive supplier improvement actions.
• Support Production when supplier parts cause line incidents, stops, or defects.
• Drive containment, replacement material, and supplier follow-up as needed.
• Communicate impact, affected parts, stock status, actions, owners, and timing.
