Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in Fort Payne, Alabama to lead supplier qualification, PPQ activities, and global supplier development. The role focuses on ensuring quality across the supplier base, with involvement in design reviews and early supplier engagement for new designs.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in technical/supply chain roles, and strong analytical, intercultural, and project-management skills; travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical or supply chain role with supplier qualification.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and experience leading international projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification activities and audits.
• Drive product and process qualification (PPQ) with cross-functional teams.
• Plan and optimize Supplier Quality Management processes and tools.
• Initiate supplier quality improvement programs and risk mitigation.
• Participate in design reviews and early supplier involvement for new designs.
