Brigham Young University (BYU) seeks an International Student and Scholar Specialist to guide students, visiting scholars, faculty, and researchers through complex federal visa requirements. As a DSO/ARO, you will help BYU meet regulatory standards while providing academic, social, and cultural support to the campus community.

Qualifications

• Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 students and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for J-1 visitors.
• Assist international students and scholars with federal visa requirements.
• Provide academic, social, and cultural guidance to students and scholars.
• Develop orientation and visa compliance activities for the campus community.

Responsabilités

• Oversee visa compliance and federal regulatory oversight for international students and scholars.
• Provide holistic advising and support for student development and campus integration.
• Teach and develop STDEV 120 International Student Visa Law and Orientation Course as assigned.
• Engage in professional development and participate in relevant committees and campus trainings.
