Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to drive end-to-end sourcing for indirect spend across North America. You will lead category strategies, run RFx processes, and negotiate contracts to deliver savings and value.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong stakeholder management, and experience with Coupa or SAP. Based at Mattel Headquarters in El Segundo, you’ll collaborate across functions to optimize supplier performance and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, or related field.
• 8+ years in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing.
• Experience with Coupa, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive category strategies that align with business objectives, procurement priorities, and long-term value creation goals.
• Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including requirements gathering, market analysis, supplier identification, RFx development, negotiations, contract management, and implementation.
• Deliver measurable cost savings, value creation, risk mitigation, and operational improvements across assigned indirect spend categories.
• Serve as the primary procurement partner to stakeholders, identifying opportunities and influencing decisions through market intelligence.
• Conduct spend analysis, cost modeling, benchmarking, and financial assessments to support sourcing strategies and business cases.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing teams and drive alignment to ensure projects deliver expected outcomes.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and terms that optimize value and mitigate risk.
• Own supplier performance management, governance, and relationship development for service excellence and continuous improvement.
• Drive regional and global procurement initiatives leveraging scale and best practices.
• Maintain sourcing pipelines, project tracking, savings reporting, and procurement data in Coupa and other systems.
• Lead SRM activities for strategic suppliers and identify opportunities for collaboration and value creation.
