Job summary

Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT, is hiring a Manager, Global Sourcing. You will shape and execute a global sourcing strategy, lead a team of commodity managers, and drive improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Planning to support production, new product introductions, and capacity planning while ensuring attainment of KPIs and supplier excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 5–10+ years leading a sourcing/procurement team in manufacturing.
• Proven success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost reductions.
• Experience managing supplier networks in low-cost regions and navigating global supply chain complexities.
• Strong analytical, financial, contract management, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and develop a team of sourcing professionals.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and long-term partnerships.
• Enhance supply chain resiliency through dual/multi-sourcing strategies, localization efforts, and risk mitigation plans.
• Drive annual cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, competitive sourcing, supplier development, and value engineering.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts across quality, delivery, cost, and innovation.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Planning to support production, new product introductions, capacity planning.
• Monitor sourcing KPIs and provide leadership with strategic insights and recommendations.
