ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is NOT an IT-related role.

The Manager, Global Sourcing is responsible for identifying, leading, and delivering cost savings projects across personal care, nutrition, and household categories, including packaging and co-manufacturing. This position owns the cost reduction agenda—driving sourcing negotiations, supplier consolidation, specification optimization, and category strategies that generate measurable savings to Cost of Goods.

This position requires close collaboration with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to build and execute annual cost savings pipelines, track project delivery, and ensure every purchasing decision is evaluated for total cost impact and savings opportunity.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of cost savings projects across Nutrition, Personal Care, and Household categories, including resourcing, reformulation, and specification changes to finished good SKUs
  • Source and qualify alternative manufacturing and packaging suppliers to drive competitive pricing and reduce single-source dependency
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to evaluate cost‑reduction opportunities in product formulation, packaging design, and manufacturing processes
  • Build and maintain an annual cost savings pipeline; track project milestones, realized savings, and report progress to leadership on a regular cadence
  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies with a primary focus on cost reduction, supplier leverage, and total cost of ownership improvements
  • Lead aggressive pricing negotiations and RFQ/RFP processes for new and existing finished good SKUs to secure best‑in‑class costs and contractual savings commitments
  • Develop overall category sourcing strategies with cost savings as the primary objective, balanced with sustainability and innovation goals
  • Monitor commodity markets, benchmark supplier pricing, and leverage competitive intelligence to identify and capture cost savings opportunities across all categories
  • Other related duties, as required and assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Cost Savings Leadership: Proven track record of identifying, scoping, and delivering cost savings projects across materials, manufacturing, and logistics; ability to build and manage a multi-million dollar savings pipeline
  • Negotiation & Commercial Acumen: Skilled negotiator with a record of securing below-market pricing, volume rebates, and long‑term cost reduction commitments from suppliers
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams
  • Market Intelligence: Stay current with market trends, innovations, and competitive landscape to inform sourcing decisions
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Financial & Analytical Thinking: Ability to model total cost of ownership, build business cases for cost savings projects, and present ROI-driven recommendations to senior leadership
EDUCATION & BACKGROUND:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Business Management, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with demonstrated success delivering cost savings programs
  • Experience in nutrition, personal care, or consumer packaged goods industries preferred
  • Working technical knowledge of packaging materials, co‑manufacturing processes, and finished goods production
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and sourcing tools. NetSuite experience a plus.
