Job summary

Global pet retailer is seeking a Global Sourcing Specialist to support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for private brand products.

You will partner with suppliers, manufacturers, and cross-functional teams to drive product innovation, optimize costs, improve margins, and ensure high-quality products aligned with the company's commitment to pet health and wellness. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-3+ years of experience in global sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, or procurement.
• Knowledge of import/export processes, quality control, logistics, and supplier management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and new product development projects for assigned product categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with global suppliers and manufacturers.
• Analyze bids, cost trends, supplier performance, and market data to make informed sourcing recommendations.

• Monitor vendor performance across service, quality, and cost metrics.
• Research opportunities for cost savings and supply chain improvements.
