PHD, Inc. Fort Wayne Manufacturing is seeking a Product Packaging/Shipping Technician to prepare products for shipment and generate shipping labels and paperwork. This is not a warehouse position, with training and performance-based raises leading to a top pay of $23.80 per hour. Hours are 9:00 a.m.

– 5:00 p.m. with initial training from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The role is on-site in Fort Wayne, in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Attention to detail and strong time organization.
• Experience packaging and preparing shipping documents for international shipments preferred.
• Knowledge of carrier operations (UPS, FedEx) and BOLs preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on a 1st shift.

Responsabilidades

• Process outgoing orders for staging or shipment (foreign and domestic).
• Affix identifying tag(s) to products as directed.
• Package product with correct packing material.
• Use banding machine and shrink wrap techniques for LTL shipments.
• Create packing slips and shipping labels using JDE, UPS and FedEx software.
• Verify documentation accuracy with products being shipped.
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Multitask effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area.
• Frequent-lift up to 40 lbs; occasional lift up to 80 lbs.
