Job summary

Kymera International is seeking a Project Superintendent in Chesapeake, VA with 75%+ travel to US and international job sites. You will supervise shipboard activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure project milestones are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, reading engineering drawings, and proficient use of MS Project and MS Office. A high school diploma plus construction supervisory experience is expected, with OSHA certifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years supervising tradespersons or construction crews.
• Ability to travel 75%+ to US and international job sites.
• Proven leadership in technical or trade environments.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Shipboard supervision: lead on-site personnel following approved procedures and coordinate with customer contact.
• Project management: ensure schedule adherence and track progress weekly/monthly.
• Documentation: maintain daily activity logs, weather, on-site personnel, issues and communications.
• Problem solving: address and resolve issues affecting production in cooperation with Project Manager.
• Safety: enforce safety requirements, PPE usage, and emergency procedures.
• Inventory management: monitor on-site consumables and coordinate replenishment.
• Flexibility: perform related duties and adapt to changing priorities in a small-team environment.
