Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Global Servicing Travel Consultant to join our highly skilled remote team supporting corporate clients in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. You will advise and book domestic and international travel, use Sabre GDS, ensure policy compliance, and deliver exceptional service.

The role requires 2+ years of corporate travel experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across teams while adapting to changing travel needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ corporate travel experience.
• Native Sabre GDS expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service in travel environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Fares and ticketing knowledge including RTW and complex fares.
• Knowledge of car service, hotels and rail products.
• Domestic and international destination knowledge.
• Knowledge of international travel notifications and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers in US, Canada, UK and Australia.
• Analyze options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Book domestic and international travel in air, road, rail and hotels.
• Use Sabre GDS for bookings.
• Ensure compliance with travel policy and provider rules.
• Provide courteous service and handle special requests.
• Guard against fraudulent calls via security protocols.
• Collaborate with team to coach and improve service levels.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers in the US, Canadian, UK and Australian Markets.

• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, and pro-actively anticipate traveler needs to sell additional services

• Arrange and book domestic and international business travel, in a variety of complexity, for air, road, rail, and accommodations

• Use of Sabre as the Global Distribution System (GDS)

• Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements

• Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests

• Prevent fraudulent callers from trying to book trips afterhours by following our security protocols.

• Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels

What Are We Looking For?

• A minimum of 2 years’ corporate travel experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ Native GDS Expertise in Sabre

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent Customer service skills in a travel environment

• Strong time management and organizational skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing of workload whilst ensuring maximum quality

• Fares & Ticketing knowledge – including RTW and complex fares

• Knowledge of products including car service, hotels and rail

• Domestic & International destination/geographical knowledge

• Maintaining up to date knowledge of international travel notifications and guidelines as per government/client rulings

• Demonstrated understanding of the relevant customer base

• An ability to adapt communication style to the audience, communicate confidently, accuracy and has ability to lead the traveler (or travel booker) to desired outcomes

• An ability to adapt to change

• Work across teams and departments

Please be flexible and prepared to work a shift any time between 6A to 11:30P EST time Monday to Sunday.

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$39,200.00 - $72,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
