Amazon's International Seller Services (ISS) Economics team is seeking a Science Manager to lead econometric research, shape the economics charter, and deliver measurable business impact across the worldwide marketplace.

You will coach economists, data scientists and applied scientists, guiding development of new frameworks and ensuring rigorous analysis translates into strategy for millions of sellers.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or equivalent.
• Analytics and applied economics experience.
• Statistical modeling with R, Python or STATA.
• Applied economic analysis with big data and ML or data science.
• Experience building and growing teams of economists or ML scientists.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with big data technologies like AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive.
• Scripting in Python, Java or R.
• 7+ years of applied economics or statistics experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead econometric research with significant scope and high visibility.
• Develop the economics charter for ISS and align with business needs.
• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to business leaders.
• Coach scientists across Economists, Data Scientists and Applied Scientists.
