Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking a Global Security Operations Center Operator (Physical Security) in Houston, TX to monitor security incidents, coordinate with leadership, and ensure adherence to SOPs. You will analyze security data, respond to incidents, and support critical operations across the business.

The role requires strong communication, prioritization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on protecting personnel, assets, and brand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years' GSOC, Security Communications Center, or call center experience.
• Background in military, law enforcement, emergency dispatch, or intelligence is a plus.
• Experience with security technology suites (COP, SIEM, SOAR) and urgency/prioritization of alerts.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and GSOC processes to align with client goals.
• Identify, assess, and support incidents impacting operations, assets, or people.
• Communicate incident details and outcomes to leadership; assist in emergencies.
• Analyze security reports, logs, and post orders to maximize GSOC value.
• Prioritize multiple tasks under pressure while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional decorum in sensitive matters.
• Receive and respond to emergency/non-emergency communications; escalate as needed.

Description

Essential Job Functions

• Under the direction of the GSOC Manager, follow established SOP's, processes, and operations of the GSOC and ensure policies, procedures and objectives aligned with client goals.
• Apply best practices to identify, assess, and support incidents that may impact business operations, assets, the brand, employees, or visitors.
• Identify issues and apply security training and procedures to execute appropriate response actions.
• Communicate incident details, actions taken, and outcomes to leadership as appropriate. Must be comfortable assisting in emergency incidents or times of crisis under pressure and time constraints.
• Analyze security reports, post orders, logs, and related correspondence, and take appropriate action to ensure the GSOC delivers maximum value to Crane Logistics.
• Demonstrate initiative and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain professional demeanor and exercise sound independent judgement and discretion; handle sensitive correspondence, discussion, and materials with strict confidentiality.
• Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency communication from employees, vendors, law enforcement, and local sites via phone, email, alerting platforms, or other systems; elevate critical incidents to the GSOC manager as required.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a collaborative team member.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security studies or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum three years' experience within a GSOC, Security Communication center, or call center environment. Background in military, law enforcement, emergency dispatch, or intelligence is a plus.
• Experience with persistent threat monitoring, video, camera monitoring, alarm response, asset monitoring, escalation protocols and matrices, security technology suites (COP, SIEM, SOAR), and the ability to discern urgency, priority, and scope of alerts and threats.
• 3-5 years working in a GSOC environment.
