Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Global Scientific Training program. You will develop content, facilitate trainings, and partner with Medical Affairs to uplift scientific knowledge across regions.

The role requires a PharmD/PhD with training experience, 8+ years in biotech/pharma training, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of Biotech/Pharma training experience in biotech/pharma industries.
• PharmD or PhD with training experience required.
• Clinical development experience desired.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver content for global audiences using adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and update multiple scientific training curricula for diverse medical audiences.
• Develop engaging training materials and curricula with limited vendor support.
• Facilitate trainings, workshops, and seminars worldwide using adult learning methods.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through formal and informal assessments.
• Stay current with industry trends and treatment guidelines that impact training content.
• Support onboarding to build strong scientific foundations and engage knowledge holders across teams.
• Foster a positive learning environment and encourage knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Exploring new formats and technologies, utilize learning management systems for record-keeping.
• Advance a Global Medical Affairs fellowship program to create top-tier educational experiences.
